Job summary

CloudHire seeks a detail-oriented Librarian Assistant in Las Vegas to support the Head Librarian with daily tasks and excellent service to library patrons. You will handle circulation, help customers, and assist with library events in a busy public library setting.

The position requires strong organizational and customer service skills, experience in libraries preferred, and the ability to work full-time in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
• Experience working in a library setting is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
• Familiarity with computer systems used in libraries.
• Proficient in English; fluency in other languages is a plus.
• Ability to work full-time without accommodation.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Librarian in managing the library's collection and resources.
• Help patrons locate and check out books, DVDs, and other materials.
• Answer questions and provide information on library services and resources.
• Manage the circulation desk including checking items in/out, collecting fines, and issuing library cards.
• Process new materials for circulation into the library's collection.
• Shelve and organize returned materials.
• Assist with special projects and events such as book clubs or storytime sessions.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the library.
• Provide support for computer use and printing services.
