Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus one year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of college and work experience.
• Preferred: two years of library staff experience or some college with one year of work experience.
• Experience with library policies, procedures, and customer service is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of library duties in the access services area with strong service to users.
• Identify user needs, provide initial service, and refer complex issues to higher level staff.
• Screen patrons for issues with library computers and software on public access terminals.
• Enter basic information into online systems, check in/out materials, and generate reports.
• Assist with materials processing for reserves or interlibrary loan as needed.
