Job summary

Carroll University’s Library seeks a supervisory librarian to manage circulation staff and optimize access to library resources. The role oversees ILL operations, course reserves, and daily desk service, while coordinating with ITS for system reliability.

You will mentor student workers and drive policy adherence across the library. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and an MLS (or 5+ years in a library setting with advanced knowledge), plus demonstrated supervisory experience

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. from an accredited institution.
• MLS from an accredited institution or 5+ years library experience with advanced knowledge.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience with integrated library systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise library circulation staff and train workers on policies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot library resources and access via ITS collaboration.
• Manage OCLC WorldShare/MGMT system configuration and reporting.
• Serve as ILS administrator and provide usage statistics.
• Oversee circulation desk operations and patron service.
• Coordinate course reserves and interlibrary loan operations.
• Lead special library projects and participate in college committees.
