Job summary

Woodridge Public Library is seeking a Circulation Supervisor to provide outstanding service at the circulation desk and support staff training and supervision. You will help organize, plan, and operate Circulation Services in alignment with the library's mission, offering leadership for staff and volunteers.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and public library circulation experience; proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, Google products, and library systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years' public library circulation experience with one year supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Google products, and library systems.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work at the Circulation Desk and provide basic Circulation Services to the public.
• Supervise Circulation Staff in collaboration with the Circ. Manager.
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and evaluating Circ. Staff and shelvers.
• Lead staff in developing and implementing Circ. policies, procedures, and processes.
• Coordinate Volunteers, Home Delivery, Book Club services, and ILL.
• Maintain patron records and prepare monthly/annual reports.
• Improve operations with the supervisory team and resolve issues for staff and patrons.
• Act as Person in Charge when required.
• Keep current knowledge of library trends and technology.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
