Job summary

The Pima County Public Library is seeking a Librarian I to join our team. This role provides direct customer service, helps community members navigate library resources, and supports patrons in using our collections, catalog, technology, and equipment. You will also create and lead engaging library programs for adults.

The Librarian I will serve as the librarian in charge of the building at times. Spanish speaking skills are strongly desired, and this position may be required to work rotating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field as determined by department head at recruitment.
• Three years of experience in libraries, customer service, education, or similar scope.

Responsibilities

• Oversees service area and coordinates services for the public.
• Supervises library employees, volunteers, and interns; manages performance and HR matters.
• Assists the public with library resources, catalog, technology, and equipment; provides information.
