Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Liaison Psychiatry Practitioner to join the Dorchester Psychiatric Liaison service. You will assess patients referred from the Emergency Department and hospital wards, addressing mental health crises, self-harm, and psychosomatic concerns.

You will work autonomously with strong risk assessment and communication skills, collaborating with the MDT and external agencies. Flexible hours and a comprehensive induction are provided.

Formación

• Must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker.
• Confident in risk assessment and able to understand relevant legislation and policies.
• Able to work autonomously with crisis management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients referred from Emergency Department and hospital wards.
• Manage patients with mental health problems, self-harm, or psychiatric crises.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies for patient care.
• Support psychosomatic and psychological aspects related to physical illness.
