Job summary

La Frontera Arizona is seeking an LGBTQ+ Chat & Text Therapist for EMPACT to support callers of our suicide hotline. The role is remote, with Arizona residency required, and involves crisis interventions, documentation, and coordination with internal teams.

You will work from home, provide empathetic crisis support, and participate in trainings and meetings as needed. A Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field and 3+ years of experience are expected, with supervisory experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the behavioral health field.
• Crisis experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer all phone lines in a timely and professional manner.
• Assess clinical situations and needs of all callers.
• Provide safe and effective clinical interventions to all callers.
• Complete clinical documentation thoroughly and accurately for data collection and reporting to funders.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external clients and maintain professionalism.
• Monitor call-in times for clients on 72-Hour Suicide Watch or Safety Follow-Up.
• Attend required meetings and training, including outside regular hours.
• Assist the hotline clinical coordinator in training new staff.
• Ensure program forms are stocked and the hotline area is organized when downtime occurs.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and agency events outside regular hours if requested.
