The Technology Specialist is responsible for providing every customer with a personalized technology orientation during their vehicle delivery.
Expectation: Every eligible customer should receive a complete technology orientation, with the customer experience prioritized over rushing the delivery.
These responsibilities are consistent with Lexus's established specialist program and current dealership job descriptions.
Proposed dealership targets, not Lexus corporate requirements.
I would also establish a clear division of responsibility: the sales consultant owns the sale and overall delivery experience, while the Technology Specialist owns technology education, setup and subsequent technology support. This helps avoid confusion about accountability and keeps the specialist available for both new and existing Lexus customers.
