Job summary

Neuberger Berman is seeking an experienced Research Analyst for its Non-Investment Grade Credit platform in Chicago. You will contribute to a large team managing high yield and leveraged loan assets, identifying ideas and integrating industry trends into actionable recommendations.

The role demands strong accounting and financial modeling skills, 1–2 years of relevant research experience, and the ability to communicate effectively with Portfolio Managers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of relevant research experience (sell-side and/or buy-side).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to share ideas and influence portfolio outcomes.
• Hard-working and proactive with the ability to independently evaluate investment ideas and own performance.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills to evaluate company- and industry-level data.
• Strong accounting and financial modeling experience; CFA or MBA preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and achievement.
• Candidate must obtain Series 7 & 66 within six months of joining.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement investment ideas across coverage sectors.
• Evaluate and integrate industry trends into actionable investment recommendations.
• Maintain high quality financial modeling, credit/industry analysis, written reports and credit reviews for Portfolio Managers.
• Establish and maintain management/industry relationships within covered industries.
