Job summary

MISTRAS Group is hiring dedicated Level II RT and Level II MT, PT, UTT Technicians willing to travel and work projects and turnarounds as needed. Applicants must provide documentation including high school diploma, proof of NDT training, and prior Level II certifications or Level I with sufficient field hours.

Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting tests, and interpreting and documenting results while adhering to codes and standards.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT program meeting SNT-TC1A for MT/PT/UTT.
  • Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one year experience or prior certification as NDE Level I with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A.
  • Competencies: problem solving, oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, planning/organization, adaptability, dependability, quality and safety.

  • Previous level II certifications/OJT
Major Responsibilities/ Activities
  • Set up and calibrate equipment
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).

  • Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I

Minimum Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for the following is required: MT/PT/UTT
  • Prior certification as an NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as an NDE Level I technician with adequate field experience hours to certify to Level II per SNT-TC1A

Working Conditions
  • Field duties require outdoor work in a plant
  • Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise
  • Must be physically fit and able to carry 50 lbs
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal
  • May be at more than one jobsite in a day and must be able to tolerate climate
  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic
