Job summary

Acuren seeks an experienced Level II NDT Technician in Houston to perform RT, CR, DR, MT, PT, and UTT inspections in industrial settings. You will calibrate equipment, perform radiography, evaluate images, and document findings in accordance with client and industry standards.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and effective communication with client representatives, with opportunities to train Level I technicians and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Current Level II qualifications in RT, MT, PT and UTT per employer's written practice
• Hands-on experience with CR and DR equipment and techniques
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, image quality, exposure setup, and interpretation
• Experience in heavy industrial environments (oil & gas, petrochemical, refining)
• Knowledge of ASME, API, AWS and ASTM where applicable
• Commitment to NDT safety requirements and radiation safety practices
• Excellent communication and team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Perform Level II NDT inspections using RT, CR, DR, MT, PT and UTT per approved procedures and standards
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and verify proper functioning
• Perform industrial radiography with approved techniques and exposure parameters
• Conduct CR and DR examinations, image acquisition and evaluation
• Process, review, interpret and evaluate radiographic images for quality and indications
• Perform MT and PT examinations and evaluate indications
• Perform UTT to assess thickness and corrosion areas
• Interpret codes, standards, drawings, and client requirements
• Document inspection results and prepare clear reports
• Maintain traceability of results and equipment
• Maintain radiation safety boundaries and comply with safety procedures
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work in industrial environments
