Job summary

Acuren is seeking an experienced Level II NDT Technician in Houston to perform radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and ultrasonic testing across diverse industrial settings. You will lead inspections, ensure safety, and document results with high accuracy and traceability.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on CR/DR experience, strong codes knowledge (ASME/API/AWS/ASTM), and a proactive approach to teamwork and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Level II qualifications/certifications in applicable NDT methods (RT, MT, PT, UTT) per employer practice and industry requirements.
• Hands-on CR and DR equipment and techniques experience.
• Experience in industrial settings (oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, pipelines, heavy industry).
• Ability to read procedures, drawings, specifications, and technical docs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet site-specific safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level II NDT inspections using RT, CR, DR, MT, PT, and UTT per procedures and standards.
• Set up, calibrate, and verify NDT equipment functionality.
• Carry out radiography, CR, and DR exams with image capture and evaluation.
• Review, interpret, and document radiographic images and indications.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper boundaries.
• Prepare complete inspection reports and ensure traceability.
• Coordinate with team, supervisors, and client representatives.
• Mentor Level I technicians as needed.
