Job summary

Acuren is seeking an experienced Level II NDT Technician in Houston, TX to perform RT, CR, DR, MT, PT, and UTT inspections in industrial environments. You will ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance while delivering reliable inspection results for critical assets.

Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, interpreting radiographs and other nondestructive tests, and producing clear, detailed reports. Willingness to travel and work shifts as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level II NDT certifications in RT, MT, PT, and UTT per employer practice.
• Hands-on experience with CR and DR imaging.
• Industrial NDT experience in oil & gas, refining, or related sectors.
• Ability to read procedures, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ASTM) as project requires.
• Proficient documentation and report preparation.
• Commitment to safety and radiation safety practices.
• Willingness to travel to project/client locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Level II NDT inspections per procedures and standards.
• Set up, calibrate, and verify NDT equipment.
• Perform RT/CR/DR imaging and evaluate images.
• Conduct MT and PT examinations and interpret indications.
• Perform UTT to assess material thickness and corrosion.
• Document inspection results and prepare clear reports.
• Maintain equipment and ensure radiographic safety.
• Coordinate with clients and team members.
