Job summary

Salute Inc. is seeking a Data Center Facilities Technician in Sparks, NV to support data center electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems. The role emphasizes uptime, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with contractors to ensure quality service and adherence to SLA.

Level I–III positions require varying levels of experience and education in electrical/mechanical fields, with a focus on safety, documentation, and proactive maintenance in a data center environment.

Qualifications

Level I- Associate's degree or 2 years' experience in electrical/mechanical industry.
Level 2- Associate's degree or 3 years' experience in electrical/mechanical industry.
Level 3- BS in Engineering or 5 years' experience in electrical/mechanical industry.
Understanding of mechanical, electrical, fire life safety systems, LAN/wireless networks used in a data center.
Ability to perform Hands/Eye tasks (tape rotation, rack/stack, inventory, power cycling, cable install).
Mechanical aptitude for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large systems.

Responsibilities

Develops approaches to minimize operational costs and improve efficiency of Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Life Safety systems.
Tests performance of electromechanical assemblies and volt meters.
Reads blueprints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of processes.
Inspects equipment for defects, leaks, and potential issues.
Installs electrical/electronic parts and hardware in housings/assemblies with hand tools.
Operates, monitors, maintains and responds to abnormal conditions in MEP and building monitoring systems.
Collaborates on preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Provides feedback on effectiveness of existing standards and processes.
