Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree in Computational Biology or related field.
• Coursework must include Web Application Development; Enterprise Web Development; and Java for Application Programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 on-call support for Level 2 computer network systems in a steel mill environment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade mission-critical production software.
• Engineer and develop event-driven tracking services using RabbitMQ to decouple PLC communication and ensure system reliability for production lines.
• Design and develop real-time analytics and reporting platforms using Blazor, WPF and Flask, including modernizing legacy HMI clients and integrating with hardware like hand scanners and enabling real-time data updates with SignalR.
• Utilize Web Application Development to introduce concepts in programming web application servers and enterprise web development on server-side architectures.
• Collect and analyze production data; implement and manage CI/CD with Jenkins and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases; performance tuning and data management for LEVEL II systems.
