Job summary

Tire Pros in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Diesel/Heavy Duty Mechanic to perform non-technical diesel and heavy-duty service repairs, including brake components, air systems, and suspension, while delivering high customer satisfaction.

You will perform DOT inspections, tire and wheel services, PMs, and help keep the shop and showroom clean. Strong communication and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds are required; training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers, associates and management.
• Ability to use automotive tools including impact gun and sockets, standard/metric wrench and socket set, screwdriver, and oil filter tools.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 60 pounds and push/pull up to 60 pounds for a significant portion of the day.

Job Summary

The Diesel/Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for non-technical diesel and heavy duty service repairs while ensuring high customer satisfaction. We get into light engine work (brake chambers, brake jobs, air bags, kingpins, leaf springs, suspension, air systems, etc...), but not into engine or transmission builds. The Diesel/Heavy Duty Mechanic performs DOT vehicle inspections, all tire and wheel-related services, and conducts PM services. In addition, you will always help maintain a clean environment in the service department, showroom, exterior of building and tire and parts storage areas. NO ONE is above picking up trash and being a team player.

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to use automotive tools including impact gun and sockets, standard/metric wrench and socket set, screwdriver, and oil filter tools
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grip, handle, lift/ carry up to 60 pounds, and push / pull up to 60 pounds up to 2/3 of the workday.
