Job summary

Steinberger Construction in Indiana is seeking a dependable Concrete Carpenter to join our team. This Level 3 role requires hands-on experience with formwork, placement, and repair for foundations, slabs, sidewalks, walls and other structural components on commercial and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, set and secure forms, and operate saws, mixers and vibrators while adhering to OSHA and site safety regulations. Travel to nearby jobs may be required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in formwork, placement and repair.
• Experience with foundations, slabs, sidewalks, walls and structural components.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints and project specifications.
• Set, align and secure concrete forms for foundations, footings, slabs, walls and curbs.
• Place, spread and level concrete using tools such as rakes, shovels, floats, screeds and trowels.
• Cut joints and edges
• Repair and resurface existing concrete as needed
• Operate concrete saws, mixers, and vibrators
• Monitor effects of weather conditions on the curing of concrete and take protective measures as needed.
• Perform construction tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site by following OSHA, SCI and client specific safety regulations and policies.
• Ability to read and understand signage, safety notices, SDS, product warnings and directions, etc.
• Able to choose and use proper PPE
