Steinberger Construction is seeking a Journeyman Concrete Carpenter (Level 4) to support on-site finishing work on projects in Logansport and Lafayette, Indiana. The role requires reading plans, forming, finishing, and coordinating with the team to meet project timelines.

The position is full-time and year-round, with compensation up to $35 per hour. Workers will perform advanced finishing, curing outreach, and safety-compliant procedures in various weather conditions and locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as Journeyman Concrete Carpenter with on-site finishing.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for concrete finishing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans to determine finishing requirements.
• Place, level, and finish concrete using hand and power tools.
• Apply surface textures and finishes (broom, trowel, exposed aggregate).
• Set forms, check elevations, and ensure drainage slope.
• Install expansion joints and control joints.
• Monitor curing and apply sealers or curing agents.
• Repair defects in finished concrete.
• Operate concrete saws, mixers, and vibrators.
• Mentor less-experienced team members.
• Maintain OSHA and client safety regulations.
