Job summary

Steinberger Construction seeks an experienced Concrete Carpenter level 2 in Logansport/Lafayette, IN to support our onsite team. You will read blueprints, set forms, and pour and finish concrete for commercial and industrial projects with attention to safety and quality.

The role requires proficiency with form systems, rebar installation, basic print reading, and the ability to operate power tools. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to jobsite, up to one hour.
• Punctuality and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and varying weather.
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans and drawings to determine specifications and calculate materials required.
• Set forms and ensure proper alignment, depth and pitch according to project specifications.
• Mix, pour, spread, level and smooth concrete using hand tools such as trowels, floats and screeds.
• Operate power equipment, including concrete saws, mixers, and vibrators.
• Monitor effects of weather conditions on the curing of concrete and take protective measures as needed.
• Install rebar, mesh and other reinforcements as necessary.
• Repair and resurface damaged concrete surfaces.
• Patch and rub concrete walls/surfaces.
• Post pour clean-up / form cleaning.
• Perform construction tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site by following OSHA, SCI and client specific safety regulations and policies.
• Ability to read and understand signage, SDS, product warnings and directions, etc.
• Able to choose and use proper PPE
