Job summary

vTech Solution seeks an experienced OR Registered Nurse for a Level 1 trauma center in New York. The role involves scrubbing and circulating across diverse surgical specialties, ensuring sterile technique, patient safety, and efficient intraoperative flow.

You will collaborate with surgical teams, participate in on-call rotations, and support complex cases from transplant to orthopedics while maintaining perioperative certifications such as BLS and ACLS where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience in Level 1 trauma center.
• Ability to scrub and circulate during surgeries.
• BLS certification required by AHA.
• Strong perioperative nursing and patient safety skills.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple specialties.
• Scrub and circulate to maintain sterile technique and workflow.
• Assist with complex surgeries including transplants, plastics, craniotomies, orthopedics.
• Operate and support DaVinci robotic systems and other tech.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain documentation per hospital policies and regulations.
• Respond to on-call and callback requests to support staffing.
• Float to other units as needed and work weekends/holidays.
• Engage in ongoing education and maintain OR certifications.
