Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center located in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) operates under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing to administer medications as prescribed and to document effectiveness and any adverse actions or side effects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Level 1 Medication Aide certification from DHSS/DMH preferred.
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Must pass background check and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• Cont. education: minimum 4 hours of medication administration training every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as prescribed; documents effectiveness and adverse actions.
• Monitors for side effects and medication effectiveness.
• Maintains TB documentation and CPR/AED certification.
• Completes required continuing education; maintains employee file.
• Works on Day Shift in Bonne Terre, MO.

We are currently seeking a Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Eastern Reception, Diagnostic, and Correctional Center located in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).
• Insulin certification preferred.
• Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File. Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
