Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish or a Health Related Field
• Minimum Years of Experience: 4 Years of Experience in Interpreting for Healthcare Agencies and/or Teaching Spanish
• Substitutable Education & Experience: None
• Required Certifications/Licensure: Qualified as a Certified Hispanic Medical Interpreter
• Required Training: None

Responsibilities

• Oversees all operations involving interpreter services with accuracy of meaning through the use of medical, business, and general terminology.
• Coordinates translation services of pertinent materials for patients and families, such as written information regarding relevant services, pre-operative, post-operative, discharge instructions, patient and family education, and follow-up care materials.
• Recruits, orients, and evaluates interpreter staff and monitor staffing levels
