Job summary

OneMain Financial is seeking a Lending Manager to lead a team of underwriters, ensure underwriting quality, service levels, productivity and loan origination standards. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a deep understanding of underwriting policies and credit risk.

Based onsite in Tempe, AZ, the position emphasizes coaching and developing staff, driving strategy, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws while delivering superior customer service to loan sources

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required with equivalent work experience in related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced sales environment, preferably in the auto dealer and finance industry underwriting.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to underwrite loans weighing risk for reward

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of underwriters to maintain high service levels and timely turn times.
• Provide excellent customer service to loan sources and continuously improve turnaround times.
• Oversee production, efficiency, quality and receivables booked by the team.
• Review exceptions and complex applications outside underwriters’ authority.
