Job summary

Mission Loans, LLC is seeking a Lending Product & Credit Policy Analyst to manage and develop product lending guidelines and research new offerings that serve the company and its customers. The role requires close collaboration across sales, underwriting, compliance and secondary markets.

The candidate should have mortgage industry knowledge, strong Excel skills, and a track record of managing product timelines in a fast-paced environment. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in mortgage lending product development, credit risk, policy analysis or secondary marketing.
  • Underwriting experience a plus.
  • Deep understanding of mortgage industry, market trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of agency & investor underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage project timelines.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Proficiency in Excel (data modeling/exception tracking).
  • Familiarity with LOS and policy management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and update lending criteria (LTV, credit scores, DTI).
  • Launch new lending products while following investor guidelines.
  • Provide product assessments and comparisons.
  • Coordinate and manage new product rollout.
  • Maintain investor guidelines; announce changes.
  • Poll investors for guideline clarification.
  • Answer first-level questions on underwriting guidelines.
  • Review exception queue for first-level responses.
  • Bridge sales, underwriting, compliance, and secondary markets for program changes.

Mission Loans is seeking experienced mortgage professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment without losing focus on quality of work and delivering an exceptional customer experience. As the Lending Product & Credit Policy Analyst, your primary mission is to manage and develop product lending guidelines and research potential product offerings that meet the needs of both the company and its customers.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop product lending guidelines and matrices by designing, testing, and updating lending criteria (e.g. LTV, credit score thresholds, and DTI limits)
  • Organize launch of new lending products while maintaining investor or secondary market guidelines.
  • Provide product assessments and comparisons
  • Coordinate and manage new product rollout
  • Maintain investor guidelines and coordinate announcements of changes to the floor
  • Poll investors for guideline clarification
  • Review “Ask the UW” questions for first level response
  • Review exception queue for first level response
  • Acting as the bridge between sales, underwriting, compliance, and secondary markets to roll out program changes seamlessly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling/exception tracking)
  • Familiarity with Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and policy management platforms.

Compensation: $31.25 - $33.65

Location: Remote
