Job summary

Valley Bank seeks a Lending Specialist to streamline loan processing, coordinating with Relationship Managers, and ensuring smooth closings and servicing. The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency with core banking systems and nCino, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years Lending Assistant or Loan Processor experience.
• Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate and C&I loan documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison with internal and external customers from approval to closing.
• Manage deal flow with Relationship Managers to ensure timely closings.
• Coordinate and review closing documentation with stakeholders for due diligence and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with the transaction process flow, escalating issues and applying controls.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure proper booking and daily cash positions.
• Ensure initial loan funding and ongoing life of loan activity are properly processed.
• Review loan documents for closing and close loans when necessary.
• Communicate with lenders any issues that arise prior to closing.
