The Georgia Department of Law, Consumer Protection Division, seeks a Lemon Law Specialist to oversee Lemon Law complaints, counsel consumers, log cases, and coordinate arbitration and hearings across the state. The role requires knowledge of Georgia Lemon Law, strong written and verbal English, and the ability to work with manufacturers, dealers, counsel, and arbitrators.

Travel within state is required; candidates should have a drive to uphold public service and compliance with mediation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license and current full‑coverage insurance.
• Ability to use Windows‑based applications.
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Process Lemon Law complaints, counsel consumers about the Lemon Law and rules.
• Receive, log, and review arbitration applications for accuracy and eligibility determination.
• Maintain and update case files; coordinate with the State Arbitration Panel and arbitrators.
• Schedule and attend Lemon Law hearings across Georgia; draft subpoenas and monitor order compliance.
