Missouri House of Representatives seeks a Legislator Assistant to provide essential administrative and legislative support to House members. You will respond to constituents, manage databases and files, and research legislation to keep the member informed.

Responsibilities include drafting press releases and newsletters, planning field trips and events, and handling travel arrangements. You will oversee expense accounts, compose correspondence, take meeting minutes, and attend committee hearings

Qualificações

• High School graduation or equivalent required.
• One+ year experience in a related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the legislative process preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Draft and distribute press releases, district newsletters, and other communications.
• Plan field trips to the Capitol, conferences, and special events; arrange travel as needed.
• Manage the member's expense account in compliance with policy; maintain records.
• Compose correspondence and reports; take and transcribe meeting minutes.
• Attend committee hearings to support the members’ work.
