Zusammenfassung

The Missouri House of Representatives is seeking Legislator Assistants to provide administrative and legislative support to House members. You will be a key contact for constituents, responding to calls, emails, and office visits, and help manage databases, files, and research on legislation.

Responsibilities include drafting press releases and newsletters, planning field trips, coordinating travel, and maintaining the member's expense records according to policy.

Qualifikationen

• High School graduation or equivalent; additional education is beneficial.
• One or more years of work experience in a related field preferred.
• General knowledge of the legislative process is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Draft and distribute press releases, district newsletters, and other communications.
• Plan field trips to the Capitol, conferences, and special events; arrange travel as needed.
• Maintain the member’s expense accounts in compliance with House policy and keep detailed records.
• Take and transcribe meeting minutes; attend committee hearings to support members’ work.
