Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Legislative Coordinator to support regulatory and government relations work within the Regulatory Services Division. This senior role coordinates responses to legislative inquiries, drafts internal and external communications, and maintains SharePoint sites to support program information.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, plus two years of experience in government relations.
• Experience with Health and Human Services programs preferred.
• Knowledge of Texas legislative process and related rules would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced consultative services and technical assistance in regulatory and governmental relations.
• Coordinates responses to legislative and media inquiries.
• Drafts and edits executive communications and maintains SharePoint sites.
• Monitors legislative implementation and coordinates with agency programs.
• Ensures timely and accurate completion of tasks under minimal supervision.
