Job summary

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a Legal Training and Development Attorney to shape the development and careers of non‑partner lawyers, partnering with partners and leaders to design, implement, and refine training programs aligned with Orrick’s strategy.

This role collaborates with partners and leaders to foster a culture of continuous learning, drive innovative training initiatives including technology and AI, and track associate progress across Business Units.

Qualifications

7+ years of substantive proficiency as an attorney.
Strong project management and presentation skills.
Fluency with legal and workplace technology.
Ideal candidate is an experienced Orrick or Big Law attorney.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with partners on training strategy and vision for Business Units/Practice Groups.
Drives training development, execution and implementation with input from Senior Practice Manager and training partners.
Leads monthly Training Council meetings for the Business Unit.
Assesses training needs with stakeholders to inform strategy and create programs.
Tracks associate training against benchmarks with Senior Practice Manager and Lawyer Development.
Champions legal tech, Gen AI, and innovative resources in the training curriculum.
