Job summary

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is seeking a Professional Development Specialist to support staffing, development and mentoring for associates and counsel in the Energy & Infrastructure practice. You will help coordinate assignments, engage in talent initiatives and ensure a positive attorney experience across the group.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including law firm or staffing experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Collaborative approach across departments, strong relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities

• Staffing coordination and resource allocation within the Energy & Infrastructure practice.
• Onboarding, mentoring and life/engagement programs for associates and counsel.
• Manage performance reviews, data reporting and talent management systems.
• Coordinate cross-office staffing, secondments and other initiatives.
• Support compliance with firm policies and training requirements.
