The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an entry-level position supporting the Department of Justice Criminal Fraud Section on critical matters? This role offers an opportunity to enhance document management skills, provide case management, and assist with database maintenance in a litigation support capacity. You will gain experience using automated litigation support and eDiscovery tools. The Document Management Analyst (DMA) works closely with Health Care Fraud attorneys in a fast-paced environment, supporting investigations and prosecutions, including witness interviews, deposition prep, and trial support. Responsibilities:

  • Perform functions of Document Management Technician, including detailed review and analysis of case materials across subjects like financial records and healthcare, indexing case files, drafting procedures, document acquisition, and database searches.
  • Proofread and edit deliverables.
  • Serve as a team leader for larger groups of technicians and support staff.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, reporting to a Task or Project Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • One year of experience on litigation support projects or an undergraduate degree.
  • Relevant coursework or experience in finance, healthcare, legal environment, or IT may be required for certain assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Hands-on familiarity with government office environments, including data processing, office automation, databases like Oracle or Relativity, and litigation tools such as Trial Director.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with automated litigation support.
  • Ability to perform quality control and data analysis.
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional attitude for on-site work.
  • eDiscovery and Relativity experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual skills are a plus.

Pay Range:

This role is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay will meet or exceed the minimum wage of $22.72/hour, subject to factors like location, experience, skills, and education.
