The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an entry-level position supporting the Department of Justice on critical matters? This role offers an opportunity to develop document management skills and assist in case management and database maintenance within a litigation support environment. You will gain experience with automated litigation support and eDiscovery tools to enhance your skillset.

The Document Management Analyst (DMA I) works closely with DOJ attorneys in a fast-paced setting, assisting in investigations and prosecutions. Responsibilities include witness interview support, deposition prep, and courtroom trial support. This role provides hands-on learning in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform moderately complex litigation support tasks, including review and analysis of case materials, indexing files, drafting procedures, document acquisition, and database searches.
  • Proofread and edit deliverables.
  • Occasionally serve as team leader for larger groups.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, reporting to a Task or Project Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • One year of litigation support experience or an undergraduate degree.
  • Experience or coursework in finance, healthcare, legal environment, or IT may be required for certain assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with government office networks, databases, and platforms like Relativity, Trial Director, etc.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with automated litigation support and eDiscovery.
  • Ability to perform quality control and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and professionalism, especially when working on-site with government clients.
  • Bi-lingual skills are a plus.

Pay Range:

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay will meet or exceed the minimum wage of $20.13/hour, as determined by the Department of Labor.
