Job summary

CT State Norwalk seeks an Assistant Professor, Program Coordinator to teach college courses, develop curricula, and oversee program operations. The role includes advising students, coordinating partnerships with local employers, and supporting accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Allied Health or related field.
• Credential as a Medical Assistant by a recognized body (NCCA, ANSI, or ISO).
• Two years college teaching experience (48+ credits).
• Two years professional experience in medical assisting.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credit hours per academic year across lecture, hybrid and online formats.
• Develop syllabi, reading lists, and up-to-date course materials.
• Provide student advising and mentoring; engage with diverse constituencies.
• Assist with program reviews, accreditation activities, and curriculum updates.
• Coordinate relationships with employers and site partners; supervise internships.
