Job summary

Corient is seeking a Legal Business Manager to partner with the General Counsel and align Legal initiatives with business priorities. You will drive planning, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration across Legal, Finance, Technology, and Compliance to scale the function for growth.

The ideal candidate excells at building relationships, influencing outcomes, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This on-site role reports to the General Counsel.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of experience in business management, strategy, consulting, chief of staff, business operations, legal operations, or related fields.
• Experience supporting senior executives in complex organizations.
• Experience working with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, or related functions is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align priorities to enterprise objectives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to the General Counsel, helping define priorities and align initiatives with business objectives.
• Shape the Legal function’s strategy, priorities, and ways of working to support growth and risk management.
• Lead and coordinate high-priority initiatives across Legal and partner functions (Finance, Technology, Compliance).
• Support strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor management for Legal.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and briefing materials for leadership meetings.
