Overview

A leading global professional services organisation is seeking a Legal Recruitment Coordinator to join its New York office. This role sits within the Talent Management team and supports the full employee lifecycle for professionals, from onboarding and integration through professional development and career transitions. The position offers broad exposure to talent operations, immigration processes, performance management, mobility, and strategic talent initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support onboarding and orientation activities for new hires, including background checks, relocation coordination, employment verification, and new hire documentation.
  • Assist with immigration processes by coordinating visa and green card cases, tracking application statuses, and liaising with external counsel and programme sponsors.
  • Coordinate conflicts checks and serve as a liaison between professionals and internal compliance teams.
  • Manage office assignments and support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Facilitate offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate record keeping.
  • Track intern, clerk, and temporary professional programmes across multiple office locations.
  • Prepare materials and reporting for performance review and compensation cycles.
  • Support career transitions including bar admissions, office transfers, leaves of absence, and other employee changes.
  • Maintain HR and talent management systems, employee records, reporting, expense reconciliation, and departmental documentation.
  • Assist with talent initiatives, training programmes, diversity events, recruiting activities, and summer programme logistics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Approximately 2+ years of experience in a professional services, corporate, HR, recruiting, talent management, or administrative environment.
  • Prior law firm, legal recruiting, HR, talent management, or professional services experience is preferred.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS, talent management systems, or employee databases is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
