Job summary

S&P Global in the United States seeks a Legal Operations & Transformation professional to serve as the primary administrator for the department’s e-billing and matter management platform. You will review invoices for timely approvals, onboard law firms, coordinate vendor data, and ensure governance controls.

You will generate spend reports, support accruals and budgets, and collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and legal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in legal operations, e-billing administration, or related fields.
• Experience with e-billing, matter management, finance, or procurement systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; ability to prepare executive-ready materials.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary administrator and day-to-day coordinator for e-billing and matter management.
• Process, review, and monitor legal invoices to support timely approvals and coding.
• Coordinate matter setup, law firm onboarding, vendor maintenance, and system admin activities.
• Monitor invoice exceptions and workflow issues; resolve issues with stakeholders and law firms.
• Support outside counsel engagement processes, accrual tracking, and budget support.
• Generate routine and ad hoc reporting on legal spend and operational metrics.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, and technology teams to support spend management and process improvements.
• Maintain e-billing documentation, guides, and controls for governance and audit readiness.
• Assist with implementation, testing, training, and rollout of legal tech enhancements.
• Coordinate special projects with status updates, dashboards, and stakeholder follow-up.
• Conduct process analysis to identify improvements and improve user experience with AI tools.
• Support communications, playbooks, and SOPs for consistent adoption of processes.
