Job summary

S&P Global is hiring for a Legal Operations & Transformation professional to administer e-billing and matter management platforms in support of the Legal, Government Affairs, Risk & Compliance organization.

You will process invoices, coordinate matter setups, monitor billing rules, and generate spend analytics while collaborating with Finance, Procurement, and tech teams to drive improvements and ensure governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in legal operations, e-billing, or related fields.
• Experience with e-billing, matter management, finance, procurement, or other enterprise systems.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint; ability to prepare executive-ready reports.
• Experience supporting projects and driving workstreams from planning to execution.
• Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator for the department’s e-billing and matter management platform.
• Process, review, and monitor legal invoices for timely approvals and compliance.
• Coordinate matter setup, onboarding, vendor maintenance, and system admin tasks.
• Monitor invoice exceptions and billing rule violations; resolve issues with stakeholders and law firms.
• Support outside counsel engagement processes, accrual tracking, budgets, and communications.
• Generate routine and ad hoc reporting on legal spend, accruals, and metrics.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, and technology teams to support payment processes and improvements.
• Maintain e-billing documentation and governance artifacts for audit readiness.
• Assist with implementation, testing, training, and rollout of legal tech enhancements.
• Coordinate special projects with status updates, dashboards, and stakeholder follow-up.
• Conduct process analysis to identify improvements and better UX for internal clients and law firms.
