Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. (CEI) seeks a Legal Operations Support Manager in San Jose, CA. The role reports to the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and owns the national contractor licensing program and the customer prequalification function.

Responsibilities include license applications, renewals, education tracking, and maintaining cross‑functional processes. The position also supports project documentation, subpoenas and discovery, and audits with a focus on efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (business, construction management, paralegal studies, or legal operations).
• Five or more years of related experience, or equivalent work history of ten or more years. Experience with contractor licensing or prequalification in construction is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and continually improve the national contractor licensing program across state, county, and municipal jurisdictions.
• Oversee the customer prequalification function across the organization, including third-party platforms.
• Assist project teams with project documentation and support counsel on claims and disputes.
• Respond to subpoenas, discovery, and document production requests.
• Maintain compliance with business licenses and local registrations across the country.
