Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to help build the operational backbone of our legal function as we scale. You will own cap table management, contract lifecycle systems, insurance programs, and vendor coordination, while collaborating with GC and cross-functional teams.

You'll work independently in a fast-paced, hard-tech startup environment, contributing to scalable processes and playbooks that enable rapid, rigorous execution across the business.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in legal operations, corporate paralegal work, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience managing a capitalization table using a platform such as Carta or Pulley.
• Experience drafting and managing NDAs and other routine commercial agreements.
• Experience with entity management and corporate housekeeping across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience managing corporate insurance programs and policy renewals.
• Experience implementing, administering, or supporting a contract management system (CMS/CLM).
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage cap table records and equity issuances in Pulley or Carta.
• Draft, review, and manage NDAs and vendor agreements.
• Oversee entity management and housekeeping for subsidiaries across jurisdictions.
• Administer corporate insurance programs (D&O, liability, property, cyber) and renewals.
• Lead onboarding and rollout of a CMS/CLM with workflows and training.
• Develop and maintain legal playbooks, templates, and SOPs for self-service.
• Track regulatory calendars and assist with export control filings (ITAR, EAR, DOE Part 810).
• Support board and stockholder matters (consents, resolutions, materials).
• Identify opportunities to improve legal operations processes as the company scales.
