Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to build the operational backbone of our legal function. You will own cap table management, NDAs, entity governance, insurance programs, and a contract lifecycle system, partnering with GC, Finance, and HR to move fast with rigor.

You will drive playbooks, templates, and scalable processes in a fast-growing, hard-tech startup, enabling rapid growth while protecting the company's interests.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in legal operations, corporate paralegal work, or a similar role
• Hands-on capitalization table management using Carta or Pulley
• Experience drafting and managing NDAs and routine commercial agreements
• Experience with entity management across multiple jurisdictions
• Experience managing corporate insurance programs and policy renewals
• Experience implementing or supporting a CMS/CLM system
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the cap table, including equity issuances, option grants, exercises, terminations, and vesting schedules
• Draft, review and manage NDAs and routine vendor agreements
• Own entity management and housekeeping for the company and subsidiaries
• Manage corporate insurance programs (D&O, GL, property, cyber) and renewals
• Lead onboarding and administration of contract lifecycle management system (CMS/CLM)
• Build and iterate legal playbooks, templates, and SOPs for scalable self-service
• Track regulatory calendars and assist with export control processes (ITAR, EAR, DOE Part 810)
• Assist with board and stockholder materials and resolutions
• Identify opportunities to improve legal operations processes as the company scales
