Job summary

American Credit Acceptance, LLC is offering a Summer 2027 Legal Intern position to support the Legal Department. You will assist in drafting and editing commercial agreements, conduct regulatory research, and help with record retention and policy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited law school (2L or 3L preferred).
• Interest in commercial transactions, corporate law, or in-house legal practice.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and assist in editing and drafting commercial agreements, including NDAs, dealer agreements, vendor agreements, and employment-related documents under attorney supervision.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research related to financial services, consumer finance, privacy, employment, AI governance, and commercial transactions, and prepare memoranda or summaries for attorney review.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Support additional legal and operational projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Observe or assist attorneys during contract negotiations and revisions with business partners and vendors, as appropriate.
• Collaborate with business partners across departments and other internal stakeholders to gather information and facilitate document review.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives for contract workflows
