American Credit Acceptance is seeking a highly organized Legal Intern to support the Legal Department during Summer 2027. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to the day‑to‑day work of an in‑house corporate legal department.

The intern will work alongside attorneys and legal professionals supporting legal operations and research, contract review and document management, and compliance initiatives, while gaining practical experience with corporate legal processes.

Competenze

• Current college student pursuing a degree in Pre‑Law, Political Science, Legal Studies, Business, Economics, or related program
• Rising college junior, senior, or recent college graduate with an interest in law school
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent writing, editing, research, and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated academic achievement
• High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information professionally
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
• Familiarity with legal research tools or databases is a plus

Mansioni

• Assist attorneys by reviewing commercial agreements and nondisclosure agreements, and other legal documents, while gaining exposure to commercial contracts and corporate transactions
• Prepare summaries, reports, and research memoranda for attorney review, while developing professional legal research and writing skills
• Conduct legal and regulatory research related to corporate governance, privacy, employment, compliance, and AI initiatives
• Provide occasional administrative support to the Legal Department, including document preparation, filing, and maintaining legal records
• Participate in Legal Department projects focused on improving legal processes and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with business partners to support initiatives such as policy updates, legal technology projects, contract tracking, process improvement, and cross‑functional projects as assigned
• Work directly with attorneys, receive mentorship from legal professionals, and actively participate in department meetings and initiatives
