THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Legal Operations Associate to drive innovation and efficiency across our Legal and Compliance initiatives. This position is perfect for someone eager to grow their career in legal operations, with a strong interest in data analysis, process improvement, and business operations. You’ll play a key role in supporting our legal team through data reporting, ebilling administration, stakeholder coordination, and department-wide support activities that keep us running smoothly. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

Specific responsibilities may include:

Operations & Data Analysis

  • Track, analyze, and report on legal department metrics and KPIs using dashboards and reports.
  • Maintain and improve legal department trackers and operational tools.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve workflows and implement innovative operational solutions.

eBilling & Vendor Management

  • Support the administration of the legal team’s eBilling system, including invoice review, system troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and vendors to ensure compliance with billing guidelines.
  • Support vendor onboarding, purchase orders, and budget tracking.

Stakeholder & Project Coordination

  • Partner with senior legal and business stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide logistical support for team meetings, legal training sessions, and other departmental events.
  • Assist with special projects, change management and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.

Administrative & Department Support

  • Organize team events, offsites, and meetings, including venue booking and catering.
  • Order and manage team swag and supplies.
  • Help with calendar coordination, space bookings, and day-to-day logistics that keep the legal team functioning smoothly.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 2+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, business/data analysis or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Legal, Business, or related field a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and experience with data visualization or workflow tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Airtable, Smartsheet, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of legal technology systems (e.g., CLM, e-billing, matter management) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and maintaining professionalism in high-visibility settings.
  • Highly organized with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Able to balance structured tasks (like data analysis and reporting) with more dynamic responsibilities (like event planning and team support).
  • Prior internship or work experience in legal, operations, or finance is a plus, but not required.

The applicable hourly range for this position is $31.73 - $39.90 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
