About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Officer to join their expanding legal department, working remotely to support operations across the Free State province. This role is essential for managing the legal aspects of the company's operations, ensuring adherence to regulations, and mitigating potential legal risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from contract review to advising on compliance, and will work collaboratively with internal teams to achieve business objectives in Welkom.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate various commercial agreements and contracts.
• Provide legal guidance on compliance matters, including industry-specific regulations.
• Assist in managing dispute resolution and legal claims.
• Conduct legal research and provide summaries on relevant legislation and case law.
• Maintain and update legal documentation and corporate records.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent qualification.
