Job summary

Greenberg Traurig seeks a Legal Data Engineer Lead to design and maintain data-driven, AI-enabled solutions for legal matters and client engagements. You will oversee data pipelines, automation, and AI projects handling large, unstructured data, ensuring accuracy and scalability while guiding team members.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, experience with AI workflows, and collaboration with attorneys and tech professionals to translate requirements into production-ready analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, data analytics, database development, automation, or BI.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL to develop complex data-processing and automation solutions.
• Proven ability to incorporate AI, including generative AI or NLP, into data/document workflows.
• Experience with structured outputs (JSON) and schema-based AI workflows.
• Familiarity with data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and automated quality control techniques.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains complex data workflows and pipelines.
• Develops Python-based data processing, extraction, classification, transformation, and reporting solutions.
• Builds AI-enabled workflows to extract, summarize, and structure information from diverse data sources.
• Creates validation logic and quality-control procedures for AI outputs.
• Integrates AI capabilities with Python, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Collaborates with attorneys and technologists to translate legal requirements into data solutions.
