Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP seeks a Legal Data Engineer Lead to design and maintain data-driven, AI-enabled solutions supporting legal matters and client engagements. You will oversee complex data pipelines, automation, analytics, and AI projects across varied data sources while ensuring governance and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field (Data Analytics, CS, IS, Statistics, Math, Engineering) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
• Experience applying AI/ML, NLP, or related technologies to data workflows.
• Experience in professional services or legal analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains complex data workflows and pipelines.
• Develops Python-based data processing, extraction, classification, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Shaped AI-enabled workflows to extract and structure information from diverse data sources.
• Implements structured AI outputs with schema-based validation and quality control.
• Integrates AI with Python, APIs, databases, and cloud services to deliver scalable solutions.
• Assesses AI outputs for accuracy and reliability; establishes validation procedures.
• Designs human-in-the-loop and governance processes for responsible AI use.
• Identifies appropriate AI use cases considering data sensitivity and confidentiality.
• Prototyped AI-enabled tools and self-service analytics applications.
• Collaborates with attorneys and technical teams to translate requirements into solutions.
