Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

We are currently partnered with a Global Asset Manager that continues to outperform its competitors due to its in-depth market knowledge and investment style. They are seeking to add a private funds attorney to their thriving legal team. This individual will report to the managing director and be a vital part in supporting all areas of the firm's diversified platform. You will be responsible for various legal matters pertaining to the management & governance of the firm's investment funds within the wealth management channels. This is an excellent chance to be part of a collaborative team while getting exposure across the business and being an immediate impact for the legal team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal expertise to senior management and external counsel on all fund structuring matters.
• Responsible for reviewing private placement memorandum, limited partnership agreements, investment management agreements, and subscription agreements.
• Support the development, launch, and ongoing operation of various investment vehicles.

Requirements:

• JD from a top tier Law school.
• 1-3 years of experience within private practice or in-house environment at an established Asset Manager.
• Experienced with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940, & private fund structuring and formation.
• Experienced negotiating placement agent agreements, dealer agreements, platform/services agreements.
