As Director of Communications, you'll report into senior leadership and oversee a passionate team of communications professionals. You’ll steer the strategy behind thought leadership, media relations, internal storytelling, and brand voice - making an impact across continents and communication platforms alike.

The Role:

• Shape and execute internal and external communication strategies aligned with business priorities and brand tone.
• Lead media relations and executive visibility programs, building strong relationships with key financial and trade media.
• Drive thought leadership efforts and develop compelling narratives that reflect the firm’s values and vision.
• Oversee internal platforms including intranet, newsletters, and town halls to foster employee engagement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Legal, IR, Compliance, and HR to ensure message alignment and risk awareness.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 10+ years of experience in communications, with a strong background in finance or agency environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for simplifying complex ideas.
• Proven success leading media relations and executive communications across multiple markets.
• Strong leadership skills with a collaborative mindset and ability to coach and inspire teams.
• Adept at navigating ambiguity, anticipating needs, and confidently guiding crisis communications.

Location: Evanston, IL or New York City (frequent travel to Evanston required if based in NYC)

Salary: Starting at $200,000 to $300,000, depending on experience.
