Job summary

DASSAULT SYSTÈMES is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel – Data & Security to join our North American Legal team in Waltham, MA. This hybrid role focuses on data protection, privacy, AI, and cybersecurity across the Americas, collaborating with Information Security, R&D, and Sales.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, monitor regulatory changes, and develop scalable policies to manage legal risk while supporting business objectives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Bar admission in MA, CA, or another U.S. state.
• Hybrid work arrangement at a Dassault Systèmes local office.
• Six+ years of legal experience focused on privacy and cybersecurity.
• Extensive contract drafting, review, and negotiation with large domestic and international customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong writing and verbal communication; work with internal clients and Legal Department.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of policies, procedures, and contractual frameworks relating to AI, data protection, cybersecurity, and digital law.
• Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments in AI, privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and related areas.
• Partner with Information Security, R&D, and other stakeholders to provide legal guidance on AI, data governance, cybersecurity, and information security matters.
• Assist Sales in negotiating customer and partner agreements, focusing on data protection, data security, and AI provisions.
• Contribute to standard contractual provisions, templates, and contracting policies for AI and cybersecurity issues.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on AI, cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate across Legal and business functions to translate evolving requirements into scalable policies and processes.
